Everyone hates viruses. They mess up your computer, sometimes try to steal your personal information and do other nasty stuff.

One way to prevent from getting a virus is to scan files you have recently downloaded from the web.
Sometimes people secretly sneak trojan's, malware and other types of viruses to mess up your PC on purpose. I know a great site to help you prevent this problem and not take home a virus.


First of all visit Virus Total



Right under Upload A File click Browse. Select the file. Pretty simple and for even more, you might say
"Protection" click on Send It Over SSL.

After completing all these steps press Send File.

This will begin scanning the file with tons of other virus scanners to get even better results. At the end it will tell you if its clean or if it has any suspicious things inside of it.
