Everyday I download at least one file from the web. Sometimes I might have to download a portion of files to my computer. I find it a big pain to download each file one by one by one. All in all its a big hassle!



JDownloader is open source, platform independent and written completely in Java. It simplifies downloading files from the web. It offers downloading in multiple parallel streams, captcha recognition, automatic file extraction and much more.




Here is how to use it:

1. First go download JDownloader and install it.
2. Have all the links you want to download in hand, (copy them into Notepad so you wont lose them).
3. Make sure you are on the LinkGrabber tab.


4.  Click on 'Add URL(S)' and a box should appear. Paste in your urls or download links.



5. Click on 'Parse URL(S)'

6. If you want you can edit the directory it gets saved to by right clicking and going to 'Edit Directory' and selecting where you want it saved.

7. Click on the play button at the top to begin your downloads.
