Today were going to learn how to record your computer screen. Recording your computer is very useful because you can make videos where you show people stuff on the internet or on your computer for marketing reasons or just for fun.

This is very simple and can be done with a program called Camstudio and another small file.





Best of all its free. OK download two things.

One, is the actual program itself ; Click Here

Two, is a codec that compresses your finished Camstudio recording (trust me,you'll need this); Click Here

After you download both of them run the first file and do the setup then run the second file and do that setup too.

Everything should be going well. Start up Camstudio. Go to Options-Video Options. In the first box click on the drop down menu and select CamStudio Lossless Codec v1.4.


On the side select Configure and make sure LZO is selected and you can customize what level you want. Click OK.

You can also customize the rest of the options yourself for your own personal preference.Also if your going to record with a microphone go to Options and in the drop down list select Record audio from microphone.

To actually record click the red button, to pause click the sideways equal sign and to stop click on the rectangle.
