3 Historical Methods To Succeed At Affiliate Marketing

Commercials! I know you've seen them. They are constantly trying to get you to buy their product, invest in something, or even donate to a cause. You might think that no one will buy from them, and that they should just take the ad down but I am afraid to break it to you but you're wrong.

People waiting in line

Every single day, they convince thousands, even millions of people to open up their wallets and do whatever they are telling them to do. That is step one in getting someone to buy something from you, tell them! But anyways this isn’t the point of this post.
The point is to share...no reveal what the "pros" use to get people to buy their stuff. It actually isn't quite hard in fact and luckily for you I am going to reveal the methods today!

History Lesson

The makers of these three methods was a Greek philosopher named Aristotle. He wrote a book called Rhetoric which was a document (they didn’t have books back then) that explains to writers and speakers how to persuade their audience.

Ethos

Ethos convinces people to buy your stuff by using credible sources or people. There are currently many commercials on T.V. that have businesses or companies that you know and trust that talk about a product. The same goes with the celebrities you see.

A great way to use Ethos in your niche is to find a popular blog or website and interview the person running it or in charge of it.

Pathos

Pathos has an emotional appeal. Commercials that use Pathos use emotion to try to persuade you. I am sure you are aware of all the ads that show animals getting abused and at the end they ask you to donate some money to help these animals.

Most of you probably get teary eyed while seeing them and might take out your credit card without thinking twice.

Pathos works amazingly well in niches where emotion is involved like health, finance, etc.

Logos

Logos uses reasoning or logic. Logos is when you convince someone to do something by using statistics. An example of Logos would be the Geico commercials on television where they say "Fifteen minutes will save you fifteen percent on your car insurance".

Conclusion

All three of these methods have been proven to work, you see them everyday on T.V and in ads. So if you are having difficulty getting sales first learn to persuade your audience. Have you used Ethos, Pathos, or Logos to your advantage?
