Something I have been trying to accomplish on my Guide Goods was to make my logo blend in. I still remember me trying to make my logo blend as closely to the background of my header, and never getting it just right.



I wish this tutorial was made for me years ago, it would of saved me a lot of headaches and trouble. Hopefully this tutorial will help you make any image transparent.




To accomplish this we are going to need a few things:

• Gimp or PhotoShop (even though this tut will be made using Gimp, PhotoShop is almost identical to it)
• An image you want to make transparent ( As a side note make sure the image has a lot of white space as it makes it much easier to make it transparent)
 

1. Open your image into Gimp by going to File-Open and selecting the image of your choice.



2.  Click Layer-Transparency-Add Alpha Channel.



 3. Get the 'Fuzzy Tool' and click on the image, than press delete on your keyboard.




If you follow the simple steps above you should be on your way to making any image transparent.
